The Diploma in Graphic Design is designed to provide the following objectives:
a) Provide practical knowledge of Graphic Design methods and processes.
b) Enable students to apply an analytical approach to problems generated by the study of Graphic Design and the Graphic Design industry.
c) Enable students to conceptualise ideas and communicate solutions affectively through visual, written or spoken means.
d) Develop a range of graduate analysis, synthesis and critical thinking skills.
e) Develop the graduate skills of managing time and resources effectively.
f) Provide an education that will enable graduating students to respond to varied employment opportunities.
g) To develop student’s creative potential.
h) To attain knowledge on art history, graphic history and theory.
i) To be able to undertake any large or small scale graphic design project.
j) To gain an ability to work independently and co-operate with others within a professional framework and to become aware of the market trends.
Students may also transfer credit to all our academic partners and continue second/final year bachelor degree in arts and design studies.
