Entry Requirement

Master degree (Level 7, MQF) in a business or related field as accepted by The University Senate; or
Any qualifications equivalent to Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) or as accepted by The University Senate.

Course Information

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration is offered in collaboration with North Borneo University College. The primary objective is to help doctoral students develop excellent research, managerial and leadership skills necessary for them to become research experts in their respective fields. The course ensures that candidates will become effective leaders in the corporate world as well as productive contributors to society.

Year 1

  • GPPJ7119 – Applied Statistics (4 CH)
  • GPRE7103 – Academic Writing In Disciplines (4 CH)
  • GPAS7103 – Business Research Methodology (4 CH)
  • GPPJ7104 – Competitive & Business Strategy (4 CH)
  • EPDS7103 – Doctoral Seminar (4 CH)

Year 2 - 3

  • GPDT7160 – Thesis (60 CH)


While completing the PhD in Business Administration, students are given the opportunity to earn a another distinct qualification, a Swiss degree with QS four-star ratings for overall excellence in business education worldwide.

Students who choose this option will graduate with a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the EU Business School, Switzerland and an NBUC PhD in Business Administration while researching at our International Learning Centre.
