10. Policy Protecting Those Reporting Discrimination

Procedure for discrimination and harassment grievances

  1. Any person who has experienced or witnessed discrimination or harassment is encouraged to report the incident promptly. Reports can be made through the designated reporting channels, such as direct to the university's student affairs department. Reports may be made anonymously if desired.
  2. It is important to note that university officials may not be aware of specific incidents unless they are reported. Therefore, individuals should not assume that an official knows about a particular situation unless it has been reported
  3. The university will take reports seriously, conduct prompt investigations, and take appropriate action to address and remedy any confirmed instances of discrimination or harassment based on gender, race, religion, transgender status, or other protected characteristics.
