In a pivotal moment for community and global progress, JUC has visited the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit 2024 Sabah Region. The event, hosted at the Sabah International Convention Centre, marks a significant commitment by JUC to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in achieving the global goals for the betterment of society and the world at large.
The summit serves as a platform for extensive discussions on the integration of SDGs into economic development activities undertaken by both the government and the private sector. JUC, aligning with its commitment to sustainable practices, seeks to contribute actively to the ongoing dialogue on responsible consumption, production, and overall sustainable development.
The Malaysia SDG Summit 2024 Sabah Region is designed to facilitate discussions on current efforts to incorporate SDGs into economic development initiatives. The event comprises a range of activities, including an exhibition, forums, and plenary sessions featuring speakers from various sectors. Additionally, participants can engage in the YouthJoy expo and explore opportunities at the career carnival.
Under the theme “SDGs Local Actions for an Inclusive, Sustainable and Resilient Malaysia,” the summit aims to reinforce the Ministry of Economy’s efforts to enhance the implementation of SDGs at the state and local levels. The focus will be on sustainable growth, inclusive development, biodiversity preservation, food security, and access to quality education, among other vital topics.
