The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) was established under Malaysian Qualifications Agency Act 2007. The main role of the MQA is to implement the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF) for quality assurance of higher education and as reference point for the criteria and standards for national qualifications.

The Chartered Association of Continuing Education (CACE) is a not-for-profit professional body established under the Societies Ordinance of the Hong Kong SAR Government for institutions who focus on continuing education and lifelong learning. CACE also offers continuing education programmes through its associate training institution, the Chartered Management School of Distance Learning (CMSDL). CMSDL was registered under Education Ordinance (Cap. 279) of The Hong Kong Education Department No. 543942) since 2001.

Jesselton University College is in adaptation to the quality standard of CACE's Quality Management System (QMS) since the year 2020. The fields that this external quality management system cover are Management, Education Teaching and Learning, Research, and Finance. Founded in 1988, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a global business education accrediting body and the first organization to offer accreditation to all levels of collegiate business educational degree programs from associate to doctoral.

Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) Recognition - CHEA recognized scope of accreditation: ACBSP accredits business, accounting, and business-related programs at the associate, baccalaureate, master, and doctorate degree levels worldwide. (2011) The CHEA Board of Directors determined that ACBSP demonstrated that it meets the standards, and that its accreditation process is consistent with the quality, improvement and accountability expectations that CHEA has established and should receive recognition for a period of up to ten years.

The Department of Skills Development (JPK), formerly known as the National Vocational Training Council (MLVK) is a Department under the Ministry of Human Resources which was established on 2 May 1989 through the restructuring of the National Training and Certification Craft Board (LLPPKK) established in 1971 The name MLVK was changed to JPK after the National Skills Development Act 2006 (Act 652) came into force on 1st September 2006.

All Malaysian Skills Certificate (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) (SKM) programmes offering in Jesselton University College are approved by JPK as a Certified Training Provider.

National Higher Education Fund Corporation, abbreviated PTPTN (Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional) is one of the funding agencies under the Ministry of Higher Education. PTPTN was established under the National Higher Education Fund Corporation Act 1997 (Act 566) which came into effect on 1 July 1997 and commenced operations on 1 November 1997.

The establishment of PTPTN is part of the Government's efforts in ensuring that no student is left behind to continue their education at Institutions of Higher Learning (IPT) due to financial problems. In fulfilling this desire, PTPTN has been given the responsibility to assist students entering HEIs by providing education funds in the form of education loans and other financial assistance. So far, PTPTN has provided a loan scheme known as the Education Loan Scheme (SPP), while the financial assistance is in the form of advances or called Loan Advances (WPP).

Skills Development Fund Corporation, abbreviated PTPK (Perbadanan Tabung Perbangunan Kemahiran) is a leader in funding Technical / Vocational Education and Training or TVET programmes in Malaysia. There are more than 400,000 borrowers who have benefited from PTPK financing with a total of not less than RM4 billion since the establishment of the Skills Development Fund in 2001.

To elevate TVET as a premier field of skills education, PTPK has been entrusted in ensuring funding in the form of loans and grants for various skills in public and private TVET institutions. The implementation of programs that meet the needs of the national labor market with the strategic cooperation of our stakeholders. All these skills training programs are implemented systematically and with high integrity.
