The Diploma in Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL) program provides aspiring language educators with a strong foundation in English language proficiency, linguistics, and second language acquisition methodologies. The curriculum combines the study of phonetics, grammar, and literature with practical pedagogical competencies, including lesson planning, instructional material design, and classroom management. Through interactive seminars, microteaching sessions, language lab practicums, and guided school attachments, students acquire the necessary techniques to teach listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills effectively to diverse groups of non-native English learners across primary, lower secondary, and private language learning environments.
Graduates of the Diploma in Teaching of English as a Second Language have seamless, high-value progression pathways directly into undergraduate degree offerings within our institution.
