Empowering Future Leaders: Recap of the Creative Leadership Camp

In an inspiring journey that unfolded from August 22nd to 24th, 2023, Jesselton University College (JUC) hosted an invigorating Creative Leadership Camp at the picturesque Kokol Hill. With a resounding success, the camp brought together 20 enthusiastic students who sought to embark on a transformative leadership experience.

Under the banner of creativity and leadership, this immersive camp aimed to shape the next generation of business leaders who not only excel in their fields but also make a meaningful social impact. The attendees were immersed in a vibrant environment that fostered innovative thinking, collaborative spirit, and a deep understanding of the responsibilities that come with leadership.

Throughout the camp, participants were exposed to a series of dynamic workshops, activities, and discussions that challenged their perspectives and nurtured their leadership potential. From thought-provoking group exercises to insightful guest speaker sessions, the camp was a hub of knowledge sharing and skill enhancement.

One of the highlights of the camp was the engaging talk on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, and the significance of social responsibility delivered by the esteemed Dr. Elaine Kong. The participants had the opportunity to delve into the world of global challenges and understand the role that leaders play in addressing them.

The serene surroundings of Kokol Hill provided an ideal backdrop for reflection, connection, and personal growth. Participants not only developed their leadership skills but also forged meaningful connections with fellow students and staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative network.

“We believe that leadership goes beyond business acumen; it encompasses the ability to drive positive change in society. The Creative Leadership Camp was designed to empower students to embrace leadership roles that make a difference in both their professional and social spheres,” remarked Dr. Elaine Kong.

The success of the camp was a testament to JUC’s commitment to nurturing holistic leaders who are equipped to navigate the complex challenges of the modern world. As the participants returned from Kokol Hill with enriched perspectives, newfound skills, and a stronger sense of purpose, it is evident that the Creative Leadership Camp has sowed the seeds of transformation for a brighter future.
